The client wanted to launch a tutoring marketplace for Croatia. Parents and students would be able to find maths, physics, English and other tutors by city or teaching format.
Visitors needed to search and contact tutors without creating an account. Tutors needed their own accounts to edit profiles and manage a subscription for their listing.
The brief extended beyond the public website. The owner needed tools to manage subjects and cities, confirm payments and publish content without asking a developer to handle routine updates.
We connected subject, city and teaching-format filters to tutor profiles, so visitors can review a tutor's offer and get in touch directly.
We built an account area where tutors can edit their details, choose a subscription and respond to reviews.
The owner can manage tutors, listings and payments, and update the information used across the public website.
We added blog publishing and editable email templates, with scheduled tasks to handle subscription expiry and renewal reminders.
We developed the platform in PHP with a MySQL database and a custom content management system. Tutors have their own accounts, while students and parents can start searching straight away. Subscriptions are paid by bank transfer and confirmed by the administrator.
The owner updates subjects and cities in the admin panel. Changes become available in search and the profile editor without a code change.
The admin panel provides account records with export and deletion tools, alongside review moderation and a process for handling disputes.
The owner manages plans and promo codes and confirms payments. The system handles subscription expiry and sends renewal reminders.
The custom CMS includes blog posts, categories, images and email templates. The owner can update content and customer messages through the admin panel.
